Stainless Style Set list

I posted on facebook the other day that talking about ‘worship sets’ really grates on me. Perhaps it’s the way it makes me think of rock bands, like we’re playing a show or something, or that it can tend to take the singing out of the bigger context of a structured service, but it grates.

And yet… there I was putting together a plan for our music team rehearsal, and what else do I write but ‘run through whole set’. Hmm…

I still don’t like the term, but it’s easier than writing ‘collection of song’ or ‘songs for the service’. It’s probably not really that big of a big deal, is it?

I don’t like talking about ‘worship sets’, but will anyway

I dress up, play make believe and warble for money. I also like to drink good coffee and think about things like culture, philosophy, faith. As a music steward, I lead congregational sung worship at a monthly international service at the FeG Karlsruhe. The worship songs I write can be found at www.globaleditionmusic.com See my professional biography and performance schedule at www.andrewfinden.com
